To obtain parking for main campus and for information on available lots, maps, rates and how to purchase a transponder, please visit McMaster Parking. Many FHS employees located on main campus choose to park at Ward Avenue, with shuttle service provided by HHS. You may also visit the parking office in the ET Clarke Centre, located in the red brick building adjacent to the smoke stack.
FHS employees located on main campus may also apply for hospital garage parking, however transponders are assigned as space becomes available. Please visit FHS Corporate Services Parking for more information.
Other Hamilton Health Sciences Sites/St. Joseph’s Hospital

FHS Human Resources Services is located in 2J1A, red section on the main level (level 2) within the Health Sciences Centre/MUMC.
From parking garage: Take the red elevator to level 2. Turn left out the elevator doors and you will find FHS HR on your right, just past the Neuromuscular & Neurometabolic Clinic.
From the main entrance: Turn left past the main reception desk, and turn right at the red elevators. You will find FHS HR on your right, just past the Neuromuscular & Neurometabolic Clinic.
Faculty and staff with McMaster University are paid bi-weekly by direct deposit. You have access to your pay statements and other personal information through Mosaic.

There are several places to eat on campus and at the various distributed Faculty of Health Sciences sites. Many work sites also have break rooms and fridges available to store a bagged lunch from home. Please ask your supervisor for specific information for your area.

Your MAC ID is a unique identifier enabling a single sign-on for a number of McMaster systems and applications, including email, Mosaic and more. Human Resources will provide you with all required information to activate your MAC ID and email account in advance of your start date. To activate your MAC ID using the MAC ID activation tool you will need your employee number, barcode number (provided by Human Resources) and your date of birth. Please visit University Technology Services (UTS) for more information on how to activate your email account using Mosaic. Please note that while you are able to activate your MAC ID in advance of your start date, you cannot activate your email until your official start date with the University.
Mosaic is McMaster’s administrative information system. This is where you will find pay information, make changes to your personal information, sign up for health and safety training, search for internal career opportunities and more. Visit Mosaic to learn more. Once you receive your MAC ID you may visit Mosaic to access the system.
All McMaster staff and faculty members are required to have a Working @ McMaster ID badge You may obtain this badge through the Campus Store. This badge acts as your library card, and you also have the option of adding on a campus gym membership, or a meal plan that can be used at various food locations across campus. *Please note Campus Store hours have changed please contact axiomrep@mcmaster.ca directly to obtain this badge.
Please note: If you require swipe access within an HHS building including the Health Science Centre (HSC), please submit a current headshot photo of yourself for the badge, your full name and McMaster ID number to hrlink@mcmaster.ca. An HR representative will contact you once it is ready for pick up.
Photo Requirements • Be recent and similar to a passport photo (head shot only, looking straight into the camera) • Have a neutral or smiling expression • Be in colour, in focus and of good quality (scanned photos of your driver’s license, passport or health card are not acceptable) • Be on an uncluttered background and of you alone (no other people or animals permitted in photo) • Not contain props (i.e. hats, sunglasses or graduation caps)
McMaster’s New Employee Orientation Program (NEO) is an informative and highly interactive one day session that provides new employees with an engaging day of learning about the University. NEO also provides a great opportunity to network with colleagues across the organization and explore the central campus environment. Sessions are run throughout the year.
